One dead rat so far, evidence of at least one live one. 10/10 would purchase from hoarders again.

[Update: 12/19]

Highlights thus far:

- two dead rats

- countless animal droppings

- evidence that a feral cat lived in here for a long time (sweet, free rodent control)

- carpet rolls from the ‘ 80s

- first dump run was 380 lbs

So much left to do...

Ugh. The worst is getting rid of the paint, chemicals, etc. Back before we knew any better it just went down the storm drain or in the trash .

But now you have to find the city / county place that will take it, make sure you have proof of residence, find one that is actually open during hours you can take it there, then wait in line because it is the only place open reasonable hours in the entire city of 4+ million people.....

Look at the brightside, you have a garage! All the other junk just adds character. Or flavor in the case of the rat feces/carcasses. I really hope to have a garage that I can do with it as I please some day in the future. I really hate having a garage now that I can’t do anything but park my car in. Especially since I have ample room to work on my car and not bother anybody.

I’ve been busy cleaning out a shop for months. So far 10 dump loads and two loads of scrap metal. Heaviest load 4600lbs to the dump. Almost 8000lbs scrap.

Oh I'm fine. The "needs TLC" aspect likely knocked tens of thousands of dollars off the price of the home because people don't like to get dirty.

That’s half of what was pulled out of the shop. Filled up 12ft dump trailer with 4ft sides, plus another 1/3 load of the good scrap aluminum and copper.

It really seems like they want people to just dump stuff sometimes. We have a couple pallets of random cans and bottles of thing s of varying toxicity that no junk people  will pick up, and the city doesn’t have anywhere to dispose of it.
